Next Saturday 21st June, the Thalassa Chamber Choir will premiere the work “El pájaro“, by the composer Alejandro Wolfgang Espigares, offering a concert on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the foundation of the choir and the International Music Day.

The THALASSA Chamber Choir is attached to the Galician Federation of Choral Societies (Fe.Co.Ga.) and participates, through this Federation, in numerous musical events organized by it. Since the Federation created the Annual Choir Contest (2006), the THALASSA Chamber Choir has always been selected for the final. The selection is made through recordings made during the year and sent without references to the Federation where a jury chooses, only listening to the recordings, the five choirs with more interpretative quality and that will act in the annual contest that takes place in Santiago de Compostela. It has also participated in the musical cycles organized by the “Consellería de Cultura de la Xunta de Galicia”, “Diputación Provincia”l, “Ayuntamiento de Marín” and others. It was founded in 1994 and nowadays it is directed by Francisco Gago Lubián.
